Cassandra is a book that gathers seven Portuguese authors who write about Portugal. Seven monologues where the common element is Cassandra, a beautiful and young prophetess whose gift has turned into a curse. A prophetic and damned sight written in a present future of a country which is going through a financial crisis that affects all other domains – social, economical and political areas. Each text is shaped by its peculiarities…the typography is a radio voice, it is a chat in a dating chat room, it is a written letter. All of it is more than printed characters, it is a sound made visible that takes us to the space where monologues are born and live.
This book received the Certificate of Typography Excellence by Type Directors Club N.Y in 2015.
